On-site tracing is easy to do and produces a better quality lens in a shorter turnaround time — with no inconvenience to patients who get to keep their frames until the lenses arrive back in the practitioner’s office for inserting.
Participants simply use the Frame Tracer, then enter the necessary patient Rx and order information. The data is automatically received in our Lab via the Internet for our technicians to process, produce and ship perfectly edged or uncut lenses. Equipment traces both eyes with a verifiable circumference, DBL and a self-correction for axis and a Symmetry check between the eyes, which adjusts for the base curve of the frame. All you need is Windows 98, ME, 2000, NT, or XP, Pentium 166 or faster, with a minimum of 48 Mb RAM, and any Dial-up or High Speed Internet system.
